Professional training of foreign doctors in the OBV Interview
And we want to achieve such a standard
In Valdoltra Orthopaedic Hospital was recently hosted in the professional education of the President of the Bulgarian Association of Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology. Training was conducted with a focus on the reconstruction of the anterolateral ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, posterolateral complex, different ACL reconstruction surgery and shoulder. By dr. Robert Halvadjianom was on completion of education conducted a short interview.
Why did you come to the OBV on professional training?
Orthopaedic hospital Valdoltra are for education visited in the past, a number of my colleagues. Their impressions were very positive in learning new operating techniques, extraction of useful information and organizational experience. My colleagues also praised the friendliness and professionalism of the medical staff. As well as the location of the hospital is remarkable due to the placement on the seashore. The reasons why it has already been more than enough!
Where or through someone you know or hear about OBV?
The reputation of your hospital is not as small as some people think of you. Home and abroad enjoy a good reputation among my colleagues who have already been here on education, as the representatives of various companies and representatives of various world renowned manufacturers of medical devices and materials. As chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology are all listed frequently confronted with them and share opinions and experiences.
How do you assess the two-day training in the OBV?
Education was in one word excellent. The level was very high. According to this perspective I must again express the gratitude and praise mag. Bogdan Ambrožiču which appeared new operational approaches to optimal selected patients. For all surgery, some of which are carried out together, I gained a lot of knowledge in terms of fine detail and optimization. It was the specific matters raised by the new technical approaches to solve a more optimal than the traditional way. I am very glad that I had the opportunity to learn about all this and win.
What will you remember the most?
First and foremost, it is a carefully selected operations, where I learned a lot from each fine, but in terms of the final outcome of an extremely important tips and „little secrets“ of the great masters. It was a lot of detail. Implemented surgery otherwise familiar and commonly performed by a will with acquired skills, tricks, and fine manufacturing process certainly be implemented in the future even more successful and quality. At the same time, I would add that I was positively surprised by the high level of professionalism of the entire hospital staff, which applies equally to doctors and other medical staff.
What of the knowledge acquired will be used in their work?
Without a doubt this will be less aggressive mode of operation posterior cruciate ligament. In this case, it is a common procedure that I will now perform in a more sophisticated way. The same applies to the operation anterolateral ligament, which is a major innovation, which the OBV very well know.
Do you think will change the anterolateral ligament surgery, which was performed in the OBV among the first in the world, the current practice in crisis-knee ligaments?
This ligament in recent years a lot of talk and write. Undoubtedly, this is an important discovery and a major step in the treatment of damaged wheel ties. This is the ligament that brings the solution to many problems, which we so far know the real reason.
What materials do you use in general in the Bulgarian orthopedics, it is in terms of quality for better or worse products as compared with those used in the OBV?
In principle there is no difference, because we are dealing with the same supplier and the same international companies. In terms of quality it is, at least judging by what I’ve seen in your hospital for the same products. But there are certainly differences in prices, where there is a mix of policies of a particular concern in a given market, the influence of local agents, market size, and much more.
How would we generally define the differences between Slovenian and Bulgarian Orthopedics and subsequent treatment in OBV?
In orthopedics as a science is noteworthy differences. Significant differences appear in terms of design and operation of the health system, but that’s another story. The same is true with regard to equipment. Design your operating room is more modern and technically sophisticated. More elaborate and carefully planned in Slovenia pre-operative, operative and post-operative procedures. Everything is very strictly and consistently. According to this perspective would wish we achieved such a standard.
